On January 28 and 30, the International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE) took place in Atlanta. During this exhibition the Dutch Embassy in Mexico organized in collaboration with the Poultry Expertise Centre a breakfast meeting for the recently launched AgriMexico consortium.
During the breakfast meeting, Mr. Sergio J. Chavez, chairman of the UNA Mexico (Union Nacional de Avicultores), presented the future of the Mexican poultry industry. Twenty members were present.
The aim of the meeting was inventorying of the current booming status of the Mexican poultry industry and the meaning of the (Dutch) poultry sector for the next years for knowledge, technology and equipment. Mr. Chaves shows a view into the current status of the poultry sector, the expection for the next years and the opportunities for the AgriMexicio consortium. This are 3 important components:
- Introduce the Mexican poultry sector with the Dutch sector, companies and services.
- Develop innovations in collaboration with local partners , taking into account the situation and circumstances in Mexico.
- Entrance to the Mexican market and offer solutions, products and durable systems.
During the VIV Europe 20-22 May in Utrecht a follow-up meeting is planned.
